A Woman's Work: My Art & My Textiles
One-of-A-Kind. Limited Editions.
Kaitha Het Heru (Snt Urt, Elder Sister) is the founder of The Temple Beautiful (TTB). The foundation stone of TTB is the ancient Afrakan Khamit spiritual and cultural legacy from the Hapi (Nile) Valley.
TTB, the spiritual pinnacle of an integrated business which includes The Kaitha Het Heru Living MUSEum and an online gallery, the Kaitha Het Heru Studio (KHH Studio), is dedicated to the ancient Afrakan Khamit Deity, Ntrt Het Heru, The Divine Mother of Sacred Beauty, Sacred Art and Creativity.
Kaitha Het Heru coined the term "Khamitika" in 1998. TTB's mission is to promote Khamitika Art: contemporary and functional fiber, needle, and ceramic art influenced by the rich artistic legacy of the classical Hapi (Nile) Valley culture.
KHH Studio embraces the idea of a "living art" work place by featuring a weaving studio for the hand weaving of Khamit Nit Men: Khamit Cloth, and showcasing The Master Peace Collection, A Woman's Work: My Art & My Textiles.
Kaitha Het Heru is the author and publisher of the book, I Love My Beautiful Body Temple (How to Have a Secret Love Affair With Your Divine Self).
Kaitha Het Heru was presented with the QKingdom Ministries' Women of Great Esteem Award for Religion and Culture for the year 2002.
Selections from Kaitha Het Heru's The Master Peace Collection, A Woman's Work: My Art & My Textiles, grace the homes of private collectors, and have been exhibited in one-women shows and juried exhibitions in the United States. As a former member of the Harlem Arts Alliance, Kaitha received its 2003 Rockefeller Foundation Regrant.
